Hunter's Graduate Writing Class

In Graduate Writing, we will write 3 types of documents:

1. Summaries and abstracts
2. The 6 basic information document types:

Description
Classification
Comparison (from graphs and/or data)
Sequence
Cause and effect
Pro and con

3. The 5 by 5 type short essay.
We will also study Hunter's Information Mapping System.
All homework will be sent by email to

forum@info.kochi-tech.ac.jp
Each homework: 10 points
Each presentation text: 10 points
Late homework: zero points

WARNING:
some students think they can use translation software,
BUT that's not a good idea!!!
Any English teacher will know if you use "honyaku softo".
Every student can write better than software!

Scenario

You come to Hunter's lecture for
inspiration and encouragement.
The lecture has a very large
Student-Teacher ratio, 35:1.
That is not so great for learning how to write.

However, most of this course is done by you,
on your computer.
Most of your communication with Hunter
is by email.
This is a perfect Student-Teacher ratio, 1:1.
This is a good chance for you.
