Critical Thinking
Foundation English Critical Thinking Skills
English 7 and 8 are two 15 lesson courses which teach basic English thinking language and presentation skills.
The content is 6 basic genres (information types) of English speech and writing:
Description/Classification
Comparison
Sequence
Inference
Cause and effect
Pro and con
In each of the 6 units, the students study the vocabulary and sentence patterns required for that genre. Each unit ends with presentations, usually given by pairs of students.
