hunter: EFL shadowing of L1 content

Purpose:

1. Describe the 'shadowing' design for ESP curriculum

2. Demonstrate the use of

Hunter's (2001) 'rational planning' model

3. Explore directions for development of 'shadowing'

This presentation is an attempt at post mortem analysis of
my experience of on-the-fly development of a self-study course with a web component.

For analysis I use the CALL planning flowchart which I developed in 2001

As a result, the flow of text here is more like a list than a story.

The conditions for course development were not perfect in terms of time, help and resources.
The development process is continuing into the second year.
